This spring I will start giving lessons for Rising Phoenix Farms once the heated indoor arena is finished. I will also be the barn manager and basically run the place. We will be offering board "w/out required lessons" and horse training. We also offer trails to ride on on the property We will have 4 lesson horses. I teach mainly to 2nd level dressage and hunter. I have been riding for many years and have been teaching for a while and have held jobs as a trainer in TX and MI. I have trained many many horses of a variety of breeds and feel that I am ready to run an entire facility and instruction program.
I also plan on bringing on an assistant for the western lesson program later on.
Will a heated arena enhance our marketability?
I am also thinking about getting my certification with the ARIA. I do not think it will teach me anything, but thought it may improve my marketability. It costs 0.00 to get it. Long time horse people know that a certification is not worth much, but new horse people may be comforted to know their instructor is certified, but tell me what you think about the certification?
The reason I say this Piaff is because instructors in my area look down on certification. I do not myself, but instructors I have used in the past have not had good things to say, but that could be just because they themselves are not certified, but it does not change the fact that many do not think certification hold much importance.
I also meant to say that I will be starting out getting my level one certification. This may not teach me much, but I want to have a better under standing of their testing format before I jump in head first. Then I will go up in my levels and I am sure I will be doing lots of learning in those areas.

Hey people,I currently live in Califonia but the economy is really bad. gas prices are high, home values are decreasing enormously, and the job market is at it’s worst! When an economy is like this the crime rate goes up.. I believe..
well…My main concern is not the homes. or the gas.. rather the jobs!! And the crime rate… I’m not doing so good here in California, so how is Phoenix, Arizona to live there, as far as jobs and is it a nice safe place to live in??Thanks!! please let me know as much info as you can…

My husband and I have our home in the Phoenix area up for sale and intend to move to the Houston, TX area when our home sells. Of course we’ll have to rent or live with family until we both have jobs so we can buy another home, so we want to do it as quickly as possible. Any ideas on the best way to do this?

We currently live in SoCal. My husband’s father lives in Tucson and I have a brother in Phoenix. We were thinking about moving somewhere right in the middle. Do you have any suggestions? How do car salesman do out there? Or Property Managers? Or hairdressers? We pay ,200 a month for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment here. Can we make it on one income out there, doing any of the above jobs? We are so nervous about moving because we both are born and raised in Cali. We have 2 children in school (elementary) where are the best schools, we dont wanna live in the ghetto. My husand is native american, are there Indian Medical Clinics there? Give us all the info you can please.

I really want my degree in elementary education. I’ve already taken 2 classes at a local community college but I can only go so far there. I’m married with 2 young kids and I stay home so I need something online like this. My husband just completed a BS degree from there and did great in his program! I really want to go for it but is it really worth it? Would I find jobs as easy as anyone else who went to a university? Thanks!

Do you think the crime rate will be higher because of people losing their jobs and homes? Do you think more everyday people will be committing thefts or other crimes just to be able to feed their families?? What do you think we are going to have to be more afraid of happening as time goes on???

My husband and I and our 4 kids might be moving there. He was offered 35 an hour. I’m an LPN so I have been looking into some jobs but don’t have any as of right now. Can you tell me what the average wage for an LPN is and if that plus my husbands 35 an hour is enough to live well in phoenix? such as having a big home in nice part of town ( 4 kids) ,being able to afford other bills, and having enough for savings and spending?

PHOENIX (AP) – Sheriff’s deputies raided two Sizzler steak house restaurants in Phoenix, arresting nine employees who are suspected of being illegal immigrants and using fraudulent documents to get jobs.
The Saturday raids were part of an investigation into whether the operators of the two Sizzler locations broke a civil law by knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says in a statement that it received a tip from a former Sizzler manager who claimed he had been fired for his refusal to hire employees without the proper documents.
A message left at one of the two restaurants wasn’t immediately returned Saturday afternoon. A manager at the other restaurant declined to provide his name and publicly comment on the raid.

My fiance and I are getting married in May, and graduating in December.
Let’s pretend we get offered jobs in another state and relocate. We’re thinking Phoenix, AZ. (currently located in Ohio).
Let’s say neither of these jobs offers to help pay moving costs or any part of a down payment (as some jobs do!).
Question**
Should we look into buying a house right away (since the housing in Phoenix is ridiculously cheap right now and you can get a fab house for 100K) OR should we stay in an apartment for a year when we move?
We won’t have A LOT saved up when we move. Enough for a smaller down payment though. Did you buy a house right away and wished you had lived in an apartment for a while to save?
Any advice? Is it smart to wait a year before getting into a house? Pointless considering the great deals right now in AZ? Help!
