I work for a commercial real estate company in Phoenix and will be moving to Houston in a couple of months. My current position (and future position) does not require that I have a real estate license to be able to perform any of my job functions. I am not involved in real estate sales in any shape, however being licensed is beneficial in my field.

Since I am currently a licensee in Arizona, I assume I will only have to take credits and courses to cover Texas-specific real estate laws and practices, can anyone confirm this? If not, any information about the Texas licensing process would be helpful.

To the Phoenix residents. I’m a Californian, just got out of a long term relationship and have been planning on Re-Locating to the Phoenix area before the year 2011 ends. I’ve been there to check it out and I definitely see myself making a new life out there for myself. I’m looking to purchase a home, BUT, will most likely rent out first, just to make sure I have enough time to make the right decision in the area I would like to purchase a home. I live in a "Cookie-Cutter" home in California, and will most likely be looking for the same style there, BUT, I’m also into the old vintage type, dessert style homes, smaller with enough room for just me. I’m also looking for a SAFE neighborhood, because my job requires extensive traveling and I won’t be home for weeks at a time. Where would you suggest? I would love to hear from the residents there!!!

I am a locksmith in Phoenix. I not getting any work lately. I haven’t had a job in 1 week. I have a website, and I advertise on craigslist daily. I’ve been passing out cards, but I have had little luck so far.

I have heard a lot of locksmiths are getting work with banks on foreclosed homes. I have called a few banks, and no one at the bank can seem to give me any accurate answers as to how to get work. I’m sure someone out there knows, and possibly other ideas as to how to get work.

I am interested in a carreer in architecture or design specifically using Revit. I have downloaded the Revit trial version and I have made it through most of the tutuorials. I am eager to learn more. Are there classes and training available in the Phoenix Metro area with job assistance? Any suggestions on where I should start looking for employment?

I live in a house in california (worth over 500k).
Years ago I purchased a condo in Phoenix Arizona for investment property (have a 132k loan on it). It is now worth about 45k.
I just retired in June as a teacher and do get about 4k coming in a month.
I have been sick for the last few months and thought when I retired I wouldl get an easier job, but I can only work at home right now.

No credit card debt, but I NEED to get rid of the Arizona property (tenant lease is almost up/not paying, lots of problems). I am negative each month with that place.

I need help! If I did a short sale.. could the bank come after me and take my HOUSE? I have two separate loans, but both are with CHASE. I tried to do a short sale years ago, but I was "not qualified" because I was working and making too much money.
