ASU is very close by. Tempe is more of a college "town" but there are lots of nice places in Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, etc. You'll probably want a couple months worth of rent so you can secure a job and you'll need transportation (public trans is not the greatest here). either really… research apartments and call about what their deposits and the like will be.
