Environmental Science degree online?
I am a full time working 22 year old. I have a mortgage, car and other various bills that I must pay each month. I desire to go back to school for Environmental Science, but cannot seem to find the flexibility to go to a real campus. My main goal is to get into conservation. Most conservation jobs are with the government-if I were to elect to do an online BS program for Environmental Science (example University of Phoenix), is that going to be looked down upon when I go to get a job? So many people have such negative feedback and words for UOP that I’d hate to waste four years and thousands of dollars and not be able to land my dream job. Advice/comments/any help?

I know some people say ill thing about UOP and profit schools. But they should know no one forces people to go there. Its just their name and quality of education they provide tends people to go there and study. I know they are bit expensive then other but nothing comes for free. If you need some other options on your list then go to http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/sd-bachelor-of-science-and-environmental-management-163.aspx .
Why would they be looked down at? i personally think being able to do class online and get a degree is alot harder then going to campus… I am attending Kaplan University and love it.
As long as the college is accredited, your degree should be acceptable; especially for a government job. They lay out the requirements in the job posting and can’t deviate from them.
In addition, how the heck do you do all that. When I was 22, I lived at home, worked part-time and still didn’t finish my Environmental Health degree until I was 29. WoW! Good Luck!
